Luke Robert Black is the Chairman of the LGBT+ Conservatives, after serving as its Deputy Chairman from May 2022 to April 2023. He was Head of Communications from May 2021 to April 2022.
In 2019, Luke founded Blue Beyond, which at its height had over 2,500 members of affiliated young Conservatives based outside of London. Managing a large team of 20 people, Blue Beyond raised over £10,000 in money for charity, acted as an unofficial youth wing for the party and lobbied the party on youth issues.
Luke works an Assistant Manager in the Private Markets business at the London Stock Exchange. as a chief of staff at the London Stock Exchange. Prior to this, Luke worked as a Chief of Staff in FTSE Russell and was also a Capital Markets Consultant at Accenture where he worked predominantly for Goldman Sachs, UBS, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, Lloyds and Natwest.
Luke is also a Teach First Ambassador, having completed its flagship Leadership Development Programme in 2017. Luke taught Modern Foreign Languages and Government and Politics at an all-through academy in Thamesmead where he was also a SENCO 2iC. Luke remains passionate about education, SEN provision and social mobility and ran workshops for Teach First students throughout his five years at Accenture.
