The government set out in its LGBT Action Plan to:
“fully consider all legislative and non-legislative options to prohibit promoting, offering or conducting conversion therapy.”

Baroness Williams, Kemi Badenoch's recent predeccessor as Equalities Minister pointed out:
“It takes different forms, conversion therapy, it is not a simple thing, and we are doing some research, looking into what the right solutions are, both in the legislative space and the non-legislative space."
The Government Equalitues Office reiterated the govt commitment to ending conversion therapy in a quote to The Indie yesterday.
Frustratingly it's taking time but they don't want to be playing a game of 'whack-a-mole' with the various practitioners. It has to be eradicated once and for all.
