Following the huge success of our inaugural drinks reception with the brilliant Terrence Higgins Trust, we are back this year with an even more special event on Sunday 1st of October.
Joined this time also by the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV, we will be celebrating the huge successes of the Conservative government since 2010 on their pioneering HIV reform - but also looking at the 2030 target that the Government set themselves to eliminating all new cases by 2030. Not just because it should be done, but because it can be done - we can end HIV before 2030.
The biggest shifts in policy, delivery, prevention and care have been done over the last 13 years - be this PEP, PREP, HAART or self-testing kits. Huge achievements have been cast since then:
- New diagnoses of HIV reduced by 73% from 2010 to 2021.
- More people living healthy, happy and undetectable beyond their 50th birthday than ever before.
- Tests that give you results in 15 minutes.
So the heavy lifting on HIV prevention and care has been done - and the end is in sight for HIV. Time is up.
Join Richard Angell (CEO of Terrence Higgins Trust), Luke Robert Black (Chairman of the LGBT+ Conservatives), Dr Claire Dewsnap (President of BASHH), Nicola Richards MP (Conservative MP) and a very special guest who has been intimately involved in HIV reform since 2010.
Due to extremely high demand, we will be opening a guest list. To join the list, simply purchase a free ticket here and arrive at least 5 minutes early. Open to all. Once ticketed attendees have arrived, we will open the guest list on a first come, first served basis. Members will be given priority.
