This weekend saw yet another successful Blackpool Pride take place in the Lancashire seaside town. Local Conservative Member of Parliament for Blackpool North and Cleveleys, Paul Maynard, was among the guests enjoying the event this weekend. He spoke on the stage, wishing the crowds an enjoyable day, stressing the importance of these events and urging revellers to ‘play safe’. He also spent most of the day around the festival and on the LGBTory stall at the Pride event.
Mr Maynard commented:
“I was pleased to spend my afternoon at Blackpool Pride on Saturday. The weather was exceptional and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves. As Conservatives, it is important that we support and value all members of our society. It was also a great honour to give the opening speech. I very much look forward to the Conservatives supporting this event in Blackpool next and every year. I thank the organisers for the exceptional job they did and I also thank LGBTory for their support too.”
