This weekend, LGBTory, the Conservative LGBT Group, hosted high profile Shadow Ministers at a gathering to bring together LGBT people in the Conservative Party at their Annual Spring conference. Held in Brighton at the Grand Hotel, the reception was attended by openly-gay Shadow Environment Secretary Nick Herbert MP and openly-gay Shadow Minister for Climate Change Greg Barker MP. Also attending were high profile figures Iain Dale, political blogger, and well-known personality Christopher Biggins as well as representatives from the Terence Higgins Trust.
As part of the event, Nick Herbert addressed the packed room of supporters and Greg Barker gave his message of support too, saying
“LGBTory are an essential part of the modern Conservative Party. A refreshing and forward-looking campaigning group for the wider gay community, focused on the issues that will help build a better future for all.”
