The Conservative Party has a proud record of electing “out” MPs, contributing to the highest level of representation ever in Britain and the world.
Our Candidates’ Fund supports out Conservative candidates standing in parliamentary, and regional mayor elections.
At the 2015 General Election, we supported 19 candidates including Stuart Andrew, Ben Howlett and Iain Stewart who were elected to parliament. In the 2016 Scottish Parliament elections, we supported 6 candidates including Ruth Davidson, Annie Wells and Ross Thomson who were returned to Holyrood. At the 2017 General Election, we supported 12 candidates including Stuart Andrew, Lee Rowley, Iain Stewart and Will Wragg who were elected to parliament.
To increase the support we can give to candidates we have established a Donor Club, which was launched at our recent fundraising reception.
To thank the members, who have already committed to a generous monthly donation of £100, we are holding a dinner with senior politicians at the home of one of our Patrons, a Conservative Peer, in November. We will also hold a drinks reception for donor club members at Party Conference.
If you would like to discuss joining the founding members of the donor club, please email me directly at [email protected].
Yours sincerely,
Scott Seaman Digby Collins
