It has been confirmed that 67 peers will speak in today's debate on the 2nd Reading of the Marriage (same sex couples) Bill in the House of Lords.
The House will hear speeches, both for and against, starting between 3pm and 3.30pm today. The proceedings will begin with Baroness Stowell of Beeston for the Government. Lady Stowell is Lords Spokesperson on Women and Equalities and she will introduce the Bill.
Following her, Lord Dear, who has tabled a motion to attempt to de-rail the Bill, will speak followed by 65 further members of the Upper House.
The debate will then continue tomorrow.
